Yes Richard, the SPAM Museum is in Austin, MN I believe, more like 90 minutes south of Mpls. Have never been but it was huge daily news in MN when I was a kid and Hormel had a nasty, protracted strike.

I visited the SPAM Museum in Minnesota a few years ago. I took a road trip from Milwaukee to the Twin Cities to visit a friend who was at school there, and she and I drove to the Museum, which is I believe about an hour south-ish of the Twins. There are all sorts of cool interactive displays, and a huge gift shop for anyone who loves SPAM (like me!) or anyone who will get a kick out of a SPAM hackey sac.

my mother was a regular at the SPAM museum. she bought the SPAM boxer shorts, magnets, a mug, and a few key chains.
we didn't even eat the stuff, she just thought it was funny.
i must say the little interactive monty python center about the SPAM sketch is pretty awesome.
