Once upon a time, TV shows opened up in full screen (no ratings sticker, no “bug” at the bottom promoting another show); they had opening credits (complete with often-catchy theme songs); the conclusion offered full closing credits (sans half-screen “pinches”); and the production ended with a nifty audio-visual “tag” to let you know the names of the kind person, people, or company that brought you that particular program. It’s not like that any more for most shows, so we had to dig back into the television archives to find production tags worthy of inclusion in this quiz. If you have favorites not listed here, feel free to add them to the comments!
Take the Quiz: TV Production Tags
I’m a big fan of the Chuck Lorre Productions production tags (Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men). I always pause them on my PVR to read them and get a chuckle.

I love Joss Whedon’s production tag. I love the monster coming across the screen. Grrr Arrgh!

I also love Chuck Lorre! He also did Dharma and Greg, Cybill, and Grace Under Fire. His “vanity cards” are available to peruse at chucklorre.com :)

The Chuck Lorre cards are the best . . .anytime the vanity card is censored, you can go to his website and check out what it “should” have been. I especially enjoy following his ongoing battle with the parent’s group that is trying to steer sponsors away from “Two and A Half Men”.
Funny stuff.

I cannot not say “Bad Robot!” at the end of every episode of LOST.
