Gary: a “tied” match (a rarity) is when all the batsmen are out on both sides and the scores are level. A “draw” (very common) is when time has run out before a definite result has been reached.

An addition the the “unusual locations” for cricket is the match played in April this year by two teams at 17,000 ft just above Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Said to be the highest any team sport has been played.
