dbus, to confirm: two of the four Robins that have held the mantle in continuity to this day have been shown and proclaimed as being truly dead (#2 Jason Todd, via Joker, as well as #4 Stephanie Brown, at the hands of Black Mask).

Now, neither of them ACTUALLY stayed dead (Steph’s retcon even skipped the death part all together), but the trend is worth noting… enough of a trend that a portion of the Gotham Central series that ran in the early 2000s carried the title “Dead Robin”.

Robin the Boy Wonder has been killed, think at least 3 times in the Batman comics. He’s actually stays dead. Batman just gets a “new” ward who takes on the persona of Robin, who then dies and gets replaced again.

If Bucky got a mention for his resurrection, why not Jason Todd too?

With the double-double-double takes (Hush, anyone?) leading up to his true first unmasking as the Red Hood, JT’s re-emergence was one of the most controversial moments in modern DC history. And it was a pretty epic return.

Deadpool, is another great one, he has died several times but always comes back(cant keep a good comic book character down)one time he was basically melted till all that was left was a hand flipping of those responsible for his death. But in the last pages we find him and death(yes skull face on a hot womans body)getting ready to make love only to have him resurected from his hand.
