My mother used to be a conservator at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. We have a great photo of her brushing Raven and the First Men with a tiny brush, on her hands and knees in the sand at the base.

I had the great good fortune to live near Bill Reid's workshop in Vancouver when he and his team were working on Spirit of Haida Gwaii. It was open to the public, although not publicized at all, and those of us lucky enough to know where it was on Granville Island got to watch the progression. It was magical to see the team work together. Thank you so much for featuring this Canadian treasure.
