Yogi Bear is smarter than the average bear, but he is a bear, and bears typically have four feet. But he stands on his two back feet and uses his front feet as hands (how else can you grab a pic-a-nic basket?) so let’s split the difference and say that he has three feet. Why, Ranger? Because…
“THREE YOGI FEET”
is an anagram of the title of what
number one pop single of the 1980s?

I’m not picking on Roger in particular, but why do people post the answer in the comments section? Isn’t there a “Here is the answer” link?

Damn! I was sure it was “I Got The Reefy”
(which is, of course, the follow up to Musical Youth’s “Pass the Dutchie”)
I don’t believe “Go Fire the Yeet” was recorded until the ’90s, so that doesn’t count.

@Heather
I’ve often wondered the same thing. (I’m sure Sandy can vouch for the fact that your question is frequently asked.)
I’ve decided that this is something akin to having to voice your Jeopardy responses out loud, even when you’re the only one in the room paying attention to the show (guilty). You want it to be known that you knew the answer, but you don’t want to call attention to the fact that you crave the recognition. Basically, it’s covert bragging for someone who would be ashamed to be caught overtly bragging.
Like you, I should clarify that this may not apply to Roger in particular. For all I know, maybe his browser can’t display italicized type, and he’s just being helpful.
