Gotta wonder how many American France-bashers are aware of the origin of the statue? Maybe they should have been re-named Liberty Fries instead of Freedom Fries?

I remember reading an article a few years ago that said the sculptor modeled the statur after his own daughter (or maybe his mother – i can’t remember) and the article had an accompanying picture of his grand-daughter (or possibly great-granddaughter) who lived in the Seattle area at the time – the resemblance was striking!!
