Alas…Newark Ohio is my hometown…and that story does not surprise me at all. I believe he actually made the bar stool as a sort of red-neck protest against the multiple DUI’s in his record.

the best part of that proposal story is that motorists called the police thinking he was going to jump. a suicide prevention unit showed up tried to coax him down. once they realilzed what was going on, they helped stop traffic so he could get the ring. great proposal!
