Everyone is upset; they are trapped on a ship with giant intelligent killer sharks (which should have been the title) The situation looks hopeless. Jackson, survivor of an Everest expedition that went sour, tries to rally their spirits. He gives a rousing speech and, just as he gets to the emotional climax, a huge shark leaps from the water and eats him.
