		<description>I&#039;m surprised you make no reference to the &quot;Madame X&quot; portrait of Madame Gautreau. No only was the original image with the fallen shoulder strap considered scandalous at the time, it utterly destroyed the poor upcoming social lite&#039;s reputation. Debra Davis has a great book titled &quot;Strapless&quot; for anyone interested in more information. Good arguement for whenever someone asks you whether or not art has any real impact.</description>
