And, possibly most disturbing, sad, and hilarious of all, one of the things your body can do after dying is still be alive. I am referring (of course) to Mritak Sangh, or the Association of Dead People, which is an organization devoted to giving rights back to people who have been declared legally dead by greedy relatives in order to steal their land.

OMG you didn’t even mention the most disturbing part of Elena Hoyos’s story. Apparently when her mummified corpse was first found, it would found right next to where Count Von Cossel would sleep every night, there was evidence that it pretty much stayed there (i.e. there were stains right there from where bodily fluids were slowly seeping out), AND AND AND when they did a full-body examination of Elena, they found a tube inserted into her vaginal canal with some suspicious-looking bodily fluids in it. EW EW EW EW EW EW SO WRONG.

Any proof for this claim? As far as I know, grave robbing didn’t really take off until the Enlightenment, primarily because anatomy didn’t either.

Re: run for office. Here in missouri Gov.Carnahan did win reelection after his death. Robin Williams had a joke in his standup act that John Ashcroft was so crooked that people would rather vote for a dead guy than him!
