We all know the news about newspapers is not very good these days. Editor & Publisher recently published a list of the top American papers by daily circulation, and only one saw an increase from last year (its numbers were up 0.61%). Can you name the top ten U.S. papers in three minutes?

  3. 7 out of 10, but I don’t think USA Today should count as a newspaper. Forgot about Wallstreet Journal, never thought of Arizona Republic.

  5. I’m a journalism student, and I am sorry to day that the combined senior editorial staff of the student paper I work for couldn’t get it. We missed Arizona Republic. Oops.

  6. This is a really great top ten list. That’s really funny SpaceMonkey and I don’t think that there will be any newspapers left in a short while. Newspapers will be one of those things we tel our grandchildren about. Anyone can post their own list to our sitetoptentopten.com/. There may not be many PRINTED newspapers in the future, but there will always be “newspapers.” Someone has to generate the content and the last time I checked, no bloggers were bothering to cover my school district, water district, county planning board, police, etc — all of the things that effect my pocketbook. Now, if I want some snarky comments about tonight’s boob-tube eps, or your tube whatevers, bloggers got that covered.
