and I’ll move the earth? Check out some of these incredible photos of people transporting things on their two-wheelers, posted on Lord of the Logistics. Link via Neatorama.
FINALLY people will believe me. I spent a year in Korea with the Army and saw those sights everyday. I had a picture of a motorcycle with a refridgerator on it but it’s been lost over time.
The only place to peddle a bike is in a bike shop. However, you can pedal a bike dang well anywhere…
I visited Africa a while back, and sights like that are pretty commonplace there, as in many 3rd world places. People will haul just about anything they can strap onto a bike or tiny motorcycle, and they come up with some marvelous contraptions built from bike & motorcycle parts — I remember seeing two guys hauling what looked to be a enough lumber to build a house on a two-wheeled cart made from bike wheels.
Speaking of people-powered conveyance, one site that I happened across a while back is Henry Workcycles; I can’t imagine pedaling a behemoth like the Classic Dutch Cargo Bike around the rolling prairie around here, but they are very cool to look at!
THAT explains it! Orville and Wilbur weren’t trying to fly! They were just moving roof awnings on their bike!

When I was in China, I saw four people riding a motorcycle, with a woman on the back breastfeeding her baby.
Great photos.
