    I’d buy your bobblehead in a minute but I’m in the midst of a kitchen (ie ground floor)renovation and I have no place to put it. If you decide to go global on your salsa distribution, however, I’ll be all over that.

  4. The Texas Star Party is at McDonald’s Observatory in Ft. Davis, way out in West Texas. It is a great vacation Must Do. I’ve been there twice and will go again.

  6. Thanks for the heads-up about the new Sherlock Holmes movie. I love Robert Downey Jr also and can’t wait to check it out.

    I am very happy he is back in front of the (film) cameras doing great work instead of in front of the (paparazzi) cameras because his life and problems are viewed as gossip.

    I just had to verify some purchases and the first question they asked was where one of my cousins lived! I couldn’t answer that one, so they know more about certain relatives of mine than I do!

  8. 1- Congrats on the Bobble Head. I live near a famous horse race track which gave away jockey of the year bobbles. I have a small Matt Kenseth(Go#17) on my cart at work
    2- Thanks for the piece on Uncle Shel.One of my favorite albums is “Freakin’ at the Freakers Ball”. It has shel with Dr. Hook doing such diddies as:

    “Polly in a Porno”
    “My Masochistic Baby”
    “Don’t Give a Dose to the One You Love Most”

    There are several more, including the title track. The title also makes it a sort of concept album.

  10. I saw a preview for the Sherlock Holmes movie and was very disappointed. It doesn’t at all seem to have the right feel.

  11. RDJ is great, but this film is a TRAVESTY for anyone who is a true Holmes fan. My only hope is that it can inspire a new group of people to read the books. Of course, once they do they will see how far off Guy Ritchie’s “interpretation” is. Holmes making out with Irene Adler? AGH! And that’s just the beginning of the blatant wrongness… It is nice to see a movie cast Watson as not a bumbling idiot for once though.

    Secondly, I am really glad that I can drive up to Fort Davis if I ever want to see it through my own eyes.

    And the trailer for Sherlock Holmes is just icing on type of the cake of me wanting to see it.
