It’s getting increasingly rare to see a consumer making a retail store purchase with cash; plastic (either credit or debit) seems the preferred method in this day and age. I remember occasionally opening my piggy bank as a child and sorting the coins into rolls to deposit them in the bank. But if you’re not a register attendant or a bank teller, you probably don’t see coin rolls very often. All this leads, of course, to today’s Brain Game. Good luck!
How many coins are there in a U.S. roll of…
…pennies?
…nickels?
…dimes?
…quarters?
…half-dollars?
…dollars?
Too many years working in a bank. I got them all, though the half-dollar had me thinking.

I’m with Jen. I haven’t been a teller for awhile, but once I got going it was a piece of cake. I think a better challenge would be how much is in a tray of rolls of coines on in a box of rolls of coins. I totally spent way too much time balancing the vaults.

Amen Jen! Years of being a teller burned random facts like that into my mind….

Knew the Value of Penny thru Quarter rolls right away and the math was easy – no clue on halves or dollars.

I got this and Im from canada. we don’t have a half dollar coin in regular circulation, but our rolls are pretty much the same. our 2 dollar coin (the toonie) comes in 50 dollar rolls.

I waitress, my duties include running the register. The ones that you don’t typically find in cash registers were a bit more difficult.
