It is probably supposed to be "Cyr, who had been a superintendent of schools in Nebraska" which would mean that Cyr was an administrator over the schools in Nebraska.

The script for the final episode is online; it shows the kids' final victory over Venger and leaves it open over whether or not they choose to return home.

I really should get that DVD set...

Hey Randy - nice post! You know I live in Lake Geneva, and we're something of a scifi haven. Margaret Weis (of Dragonlance fame) lives just up the street. Ah, the geekosphere.

The cartoon never really specified whether they made it back, but there was a D&D comic done about 12-14 years ago about Elminster taking someone on a tour of the Forgotten Realms. The person he was taking along was a grown-up Presto, and the others were all there at the beginning trying to persuade Elminster into taking him.

Does anyone remember if the kids from the D&D Cartoon ever made it back to their home or did the Dungeon Master keep them as his slaves? Anyone remember? Just curious.
