Each photo in this quiz contains two famous actors from one movie. You don’t have to ID the actors, or the characters they played, but you do have to name the movie.

Once you think you’ve got it, type the full name of the movie into the blank box under the photo. And, yes, we know a lot of these look pretty funny, lo-tech, and all that. It’s part of the fun of it! I hope you get as many laughs out of it as I did making it. Truly the most giggles I’ve had putting together one of these quizzes!

Take the quiz now.

  1. 9/10 and I haven’t seen and refuse to see the one I didn’t get (I think it was #5). I thought it was Romy and Michelle’s High School Reunion.

Can’t believe I got the Edward Norton one.

    Great quiz!

  2. wow I really need to learn to spell. I’m counting them as right though so 7/10 and I’ve never heard of one of them so really I’m going to give myself 7/9. This was fun though, there should be more of them.

  3. Haha! I said Stepbrothers for # 4. They slightly resemeble Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly…

  4. I’m surprised at how fun that was. I didn’t expect it at all.

I’d like to put my vote in to say that there needs to be more Lunchtime Quizzes like this.

  5. 7/10. I’ve never seen Fargo, and I said Speed for Crash, and I missed Keeping the Faith (I guessed Fight Club).

Good quiz! I am concurring with Caitlin and hifidigitalboy, there needs to be more of these.

  6. 8/10 Woo-hoo! More of these without weird movies (Keeping the Faith? Really?) would be great!

  7. 6/10 – not too shabby, though I haven’t seen some of the… interesting choices. (Plus, I flubbed the first flick.)

    More of these, please!

  8. @K, I thought the same thing!

  9. 8 of 10

I also guessed Romy and Michele’s HS Reunion and Fight Club (which I knew was wrong) for Keeping the Faith. I didn’t see Crash and only pits of KTF, so I don’t feel so bad that others guessed those.

  10. I did pretty well, but I said A Mighty Wind instead of Waiting for Guffman. Though that is a plausible answer since I’m pretty sure Catherine o’Hara and Parker Posey were in both films, as well as a couple of other Christopher Guest films.

  11. @wendy, indeed! but catherine o’hara only wears that hairdo in one film ;-)

glad everyone seems to be laughing along. i’ll make some more of these for sure.

  12. Fun even though I only got 60%!

Didn’t see all of “Waiting for Guffman” but I had a feeling that one was one of the Christopher Guest movies.

I did see “Crash” but still missed that one.

  13. Who (which character) is that in the top half of “Airplane”?

Also – Keeping the Faith is a cute movie. It managed to be quite respectful of the two featured religions while still having the zany romcom-type stuff.

  14. @Jenny:

That’s Robert Hays who plays Ted Striker.

  15. I loved this quiz! I got 7/10 because I’ve never seen Crash or Waiting for Guffman. I saw Keeping the Faith a long time ago and couldn’t remember the name of it.

    Awesome quiz.

  16. That was pretty fun. However, have to second Johnny Cat – Keeping the Faith? Of all the Edward Norton or Ben Stiller movies to choose from…

Hope to see another one of these soon!

  17. 7/10. Definitely more of these, please. I guess I’m in the minority, but I say the relatively obscure movies are half the fun. Getting “Keeping the Faith” right took some effort, some of the bigger movies jump right out at you.

@ David: Catherine O’Hara’s hair is actually what threw me off. I knew it was her, but didn’t recognize Parker Posey. The hair made me think “Beetlejuice.” Go figure.

  18. 8/10….I only missed Guffman and Crash. Keeping the Faith was pretty easy (the only movie that Norton and Stiller have been in together – and it was obvious is was them).
