I do write about baseball for a living, so I suppose I’d be remiss if I didn’t throw one baseball-related quiz into the mix. I generally don’t like “small ball” tactics because they don’t work as well as many baseball people (including many current managers) seem to think. That doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy watching some aspects of small ball, such as the stolen base. Tampa Bay left fielder Carl Crawford is currently on pace to become the first player to steal 90 bases in one season in over two decades, and he’d become just the ninth player to break that barrier since 1901.
