After finishing high school in 1924, Lyndon Johnson went out west to find fortune and fame. What he found was work as an elevator operator and attorney's clerk in San Bernadino, California. He eventually gave up and returned home, enrolling at Southwest Texas State Teacher's College, attending between 1926-1927 and 1928-1930. It was between 1927 and 1928 that he taught at Cotulla, using the power of his persuasion to convince the highers-up at the university to award him credits necessary for graduation.

Reagan got ten bucks and hour to call games? I think that's gotta be a misprint. That was - what? - maybe in the 40's or 50's at the latest. I simply cannot believe he made that much for that job and didn't consider that his big break.
