Try this if you haven't already. Next time you order a muffin (the really big ones, like at Perkins) ask them to grill it for you. Slice is long way (top to bottom down the middle, giving you two identical halfs, each with a top and a stump) and lay it on the grill flat side down! Makes my mouth water to think about it!

I'll have to try Wegmans' muffin cereal when I visit my hometown in upstate NY. I miss Wegmans. I think mental_floss should write a post entirely dedicated to the wonderful Wegmans!

You can't beat a fresh, warm blueberry muffin. I'm not one for fruit in my bread but I can do blueberries. I only ever eat the top - unless it doesn't have that paper around it. I think it's that paper ruins the taste.

One of my greatest muffin creations happened when I was in 8th grade. I used raspberry lemonade, dried apple chunks, and golden raisins. They were pretty awesome, and I've been making them ever since. I call them 'Pinky Puffs'. The raspberry lemonade consentrate turns them bright pink... hahaha

I haven't tried that variety of blueberry muffin cereal, but Wegman's has a version and I have to say that it is quite tasty. Kind of like Cinnamon Toast Crunch, but better. It is now in my wife's top three favorite cereals along with banana nut crunch and mixed berry cheerios.
