Just one point - Monica Seles isn't an Australian tennis star. She's American. Or Hungarian.

I enjoyed this blog, thank you.

What i dont understand is that these people that hurt or injured others only got a slap on the wrist. What is up with that!! If it would have been any other person on the street, I am pretty sure that there would have been more sever punishment.
Anyway, sorry about the rant.

Wow. I was -7 months old when Rick Monday saved the flag, and honestly, I'd never heard the story before. Thank you so much for including it here.

No mention of Morganna? You know, the well-endowed gal that rushed the mound of baseball games to kiss the pitcher?

Granted, she wasn't a streaker, but she did take it off for Playboy in the early '80s.

How about something a little less US-centric for once - what about Karl Power? The guy is a legend in the UK and known worldwide for his on-field stunts - in 2001 he famously strolled on to the soccer pitch in Manchester United's team kit and posed with them for a pre-match photo - no-one realised that there was an extra man in the team photo until after the match.

He's also walked onto the field pretending to be an English cricket player during an international match against Australia.

And he's even managed to get on centre court at Wimbledon and play a short game of tennis before being removed.

It goes on - check him out on Wikipedia.

Your line-up pales in comparison to Power's list of impressive stunts.

Can't forget the guy who grabbed the football from the quarterback and took off running at the end of a Bengals-Packers game in Cincinnati in 2005.

Was it less shocking that the fan was stone-drunk or that Brett Favre committed another turnover?

There was a guy a couple of years ago who ran onto the field during a Philadelphia Eagles game. He ran onto the field to spread some of his mother's ashes, since she was a die hard Eagles fan. He made his break and ran onto the field. Once he spread all the ashes he had, he laid down so security didn't even have to tackle him.
