Brain Game: A Blank Look

There are many words that you could place in each blank to make different terms. If you choose the correct ones, however, you’ll notice that the four words you use to fill in the blanks have something rather obvious in common. Can you name them (and identify what they have in common)? Good luck:

COUNTRY _________
BASEBALL __________
PURPLE __________
DAVID __________

Here is our SOLUTION.

  1. Hahahahaha my guess was:

    Country Lane
    Baseball Game
    Purple Rain
    David Blaine

They kind of rhyme. It made sense to me.

  2. I cant believe I got this i am awesome

  3. Reese – I came up with the same thing!

  4. I’m seconding Reese and Diana, same for me as well.

  5. Heh heh… I knew there would be at least one other legit answer. More will probably crop up by day’s end, I bet.

  6. Oh wow, this is the first one I’ve actually gotten! Just had to share my excitement. :)

  7. I got the same thing as Reese too except I used Name instead of Lane. However, I’m not sure I’d call it legit. The suits are much much better.

  8. Congratulations, Monica! Doing the Brain Game each morning does pay off eventually, eh?

  9. Easiest one yet, figured the solution before I even looked at the rules.

  10. I agree that the real answer is much better than the rhyming one. But once I started singing Purple Rain in my head, there was no chance of thinking of an alternative!

  11. I was a little less creative and came up with:

    Country Star
    Baseball Allstar
    Purple Star (Chinese Astrology)
    David Starr (Nascar Driver)

  12. Matt, yours is a good solution, because you had to dig into some really obscure stuff.

    I came up with:

    Country Roads
    Baseball Diamond
    Purple Rain
    David Lee Roth

What they have in common? Nothing.

    I didn’t try very hard.

  13. I came up with “Baseball Diamond” and “Purple Heart” and assumed the other two would end with shapes as well, but for the life of me, I couldn’t figure out what a “Country Square” was, or who “David Triangle” might be.
