It’s sad to think that the Pontiac brand name will no longer be used after 2010, but the nameplate has a grand history behind it. Over the past half-century, nearly 30 different Pontiac models have rolled off assembly lines and been offered for sale in the United States. In today’s lunchtime quiz, you have ten minutes to name as many of these 1960-2010 Pontiac vehicles as you can.
IMPORTANT NOTES: In most cases, named packages were left off the list. Also, vehicles with numeric names (like the T1000 and the G8) were also not included. And yes, we may have missed a rare model or two. If that’s the case, please forgive us and add a point to your total. We feel that any score 10 or greater is a winner!
Take the Quiz: Name That Pontiac
Gah – no fair! In the answer, “solstice” is spelled incorrectly (solstics).

I am actually going to the Pontiac Dealer to test drive and buy a Pontiac tonight, and I could only come up with one, the Vibe.
FYI: If you want a great deal on a Toyota, buy the Pontiac Vibe. It is designed, engineered and built by Toyota in a Toyota plant. The Vibe is a Toyota Matrix priced $3,000 less with more standard features and a longer warranty.

I got 13 if it would have counted Solstice. I have two Pontiacs, a Solstice and a G6, and am very sad to see the brand go. I’ve owned four Pontiac’s total and have really loved all of them.

You folks are correct about the Solstice; I changed the order at the last minute and mistyped. Thanks for the heads-up. All fixed!

Yeah…that solstice spelling mistake found me swearing at my computer. Typed it in about 20 times “just to be sure”.

I have only owned Pontiac cars – by chance, not because of brand loyalty. My first car was a Firefly, and now I drive a Wave. Sad neither was included :(

Should have done better than 9! I used to work at a Pontiac dealership!

Where’s the Pontiac Acadian?

I got 14 — all of the ones that have actually been made in my lifetime and a few more. Not bad, I think.

Vod, the Acadian was a Canadian model, not a U.S. model… that’s why it wasn’t included.

What? No Fiero? An outrage!

I own a 1973 Pontiac Ventura, which I inherited from my great-grandmother. It runs beautifully, but the downside is that it only gets 11 miles to a gallon.

What about the LeMans?
I had a 1961, so I know it’s a real Pontiac…
