I’m glad that Mr. Rohde made it out alive, but it is interesting to see the NY Times engage in secrecy and censorship when it comes to protecting one of their own. I hope they are this careful regarding information that might put our troops’ lives at risk.

I have had multiple conversations about Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic”. I think she wrote the song like that on purpose. My argument is that the song is ironic because none of the stories in the song are ironic.

I was just thinking the other day that, when I was younger, “tight” meant strict and was used when referring to parents and being grounded, ha, but now it means something totally different.

I enjoyed the link about words that have changed their meanings. I have always struggled with “could/couldn’t care less”. It’s nice to feel validated.

nope. she means “pwnership.” commonly mis-typed words often become accepted as-is in gaming, irc, chat and so on, i.e., teh, pron, pwn, etc. we geeks make no sense sometimes.

so in this context pwnership means kicking your broken house’s ass.
