The sewer creatures link has been off and on today -I think they are getting a lot of traffic. The “via” link is used to give credit to the source where I found something.

Anyone who believes the “police protection” site was just satire, and not political preaching, needs some more mentalfloss.

There is a huge difference between police protection and health care; specifically, the “police powers” are enumerated in the U.S. Constitution. The right to “free” Health Care, on the other hand, is not.

Congrats on the wedding!

The first link doesn’t work for me either :( (“Forbidden 403,” whatever that means). The second link is incorrectly cited (it’s Cracked, not Gorilla Mask).

I won’t be finicky about the other ones, sorry to bring up those. Unlike some of the other detractors, I enjoyed this Cup’o'Links! :)

Some people just don’t get it. Miss C wasn’t posting her political agendas, she was posting a satire piece that someone else wrote that is very much enjoyable because it points out how absurd some of the arguments against healthcare reform are.

Your silly vendetta against public healthcare that you need to post in the comments, however, is a political agenda.

I am a Mental Floss subscriber and read the website daily. Normally I enjoy the Links very much but I am disappointed in your choice of the police protection/healthcare article. The services provided by the two industries are not comparable in any meaningful way. And the article was not even remotely funny. Do me a favor – stick to trivia and leave your political agenda out of it.
