As someone who knew Kurt Cobain back in the day.

Watching people lionize a guy who was too stupid/out of it to realize that he was being compared to body odor… Dave Grohl himself said that Kurt wrote meaningless gibberish that rhymed.

It amazes me to see people act like he was some deep guru when he was just an a-hole to people who knew him. The best thing you can say about Cobain was that he worked the music thing hard. He had no other options. But most of us thought he was just another junkie a-hole loser.

I had a hard time finding a deodorant that actually worked to mask odor, so I switched to natural vegetable protein deoderant. I haven’t looked back since. It’s wonderful, and prevents razor burn (for me at least). The only thing that might gross people out is that it doesn’t stop you from sweating because it’s a natural bodily function, but I got used to it and it doesn’t bother me at all.

dated a guy who didn’t use deodorant. He smelled of body odour and it was a serious turn off. He thought it was a nice manly smell. Um, no.

My husband doesn’t smell at all, even if he skips the shower for the day, but he likes using deodorant anyway because it smells good. I know one other person who never smells like anything, too.

Having lived in San Luis Obispo for a bit, I would be willing to hazard a guess that this law is an effort to boot “Urban campers” as I like to call them. That whole area seemed unusually paranoid of the homeless as well as coastal back-packers.

Kurt Cobain DID know it was a deoderant. He got the inspiration for the song because it was written on his wall a saying about how he and his girlfriend Tracy always smelled like ‘teen spirit’ (deo.) after they had sex.

For those of you looking for a stronger deodorant, try Maxim. You have to order it online but it works fantastic. It is almost too strong for me – I use it every other day and use Dove on the other days which helps prevent irritation from the other one.

I’ve been around people who don’t bathe or use deodorant. Just because you can’t smell it doesn’t mean other people can’t.
