I use the strongest deodorant that is available over-the-counter and sometimes have to repply throughout the day. I’ve tried the crystal and found it didn’t work. I don’t have a couple of weeks to let it do it’s job.

I sweat even when I’m cold.

I’m all for the library law. The public library that I worked at had a plugin air freshener to combat excessively stinky patrons.

I think it was purchased for one woman in particular – I literally had to hold my breath (subtly, of course) when checking out books to her. It was the most offensive odor I have ever encountered, and thinking about it now (3+ years later) still makes me a bit queasy.

Deodorants are the main reason why I hate being in crowded places. That stinking smell constantly gives me headaches and sometimes even makes me sick. For me “axe effect” (often exaggerated) is way worse than foul body odor which is less common (with +15oC average in summer in my country) and rarely so intense.

There are shampoos, soaps that smell like natural things – fruits, flowers and I really like them, if they are hardly noticable yet existent.

Banning “strong body odor” in public libraries is actually fairly common. Along with rules against bathing in the restrooms, and sleeping on library property, it helps prevent homeless people from moving in. These rules also help in instances where elderly or mentally challenged individuals are being left at the library instead of being taken to a day care facility.

Yes, someone wrote on Kurt Cobain’s wall “Kurt smells like teen spirit.” But he DIDN’T know it was referring to a deodorant. He took the statement literally, and thought it would be a great title for a song.

My husband really has no b.o. Not kidding. He only starts to have b.o. after he’s been working out for awhile, and even then, it’s really mild. His dad is the same way, and has only purchased one stick of deodorant his whole life.

Why does it say on deodorant bottles not to use it if you have kidney disease? I’ve always been curious of that.
