The existing parts of the Codex Sinaiticus are now online for public study. The 1600-year-old handwritten book is the oldest known Christian Bible.

Eternal Moonwalk: A tribute to Michael Jackson. I’m embarrassed to admit that I watched this for a long, long time. (via Metafilter)

You might not know actor Larry B. Scott by name, but you’ll remember his many characters, particularly his role in Revenge of the Nerds. And guess what? He’s really not gay!

Rigging a couch with an airbag is a pretty cool prank, as long as you’re not the one surprised by it. Audio NSFW.

  1. I’m amazed by how many people don’t seem to have any idea what the Moonwalk is. Walking backwards is not moonwalking! It’s hard to do, but at least try! Especially if you’re going to upload a video of yourself doing it!

  2. Agreed Craig. There are plenty of videos online teaching you how to do it.

  3. No kidding, Craig is right. That was some of the lamest attempts I have ever seen. Maybe that’s the point(?)

  4. There are some pretty lame attempts but, like Miss Cellania, I watched for way longer than I should have. Oh, MJ, how we loved your tunes and your moves.

  5. And for completely unhealthy, but awesome popsicles:

    Dripless Popsicles (great for kids!)

    1 cup sugar (I use 4/5 instead)
    1 envelope Koolaid powder
    1 box Jell-o
    2 cups boiling water
    Mix
    Add 2 cups cold water
Makes 16 popsicles. You can mix up your flavours – orange pineapple is the BEST. It all depends on what flavours jello you can find. These rock – they really don’t drip, they taste awesome all the way through, and they are a little mushy, so easy on kid teeth.

  6. I agree with Craig. Why bother filming people who can’t moonwalk?

  7. Miss Cellania,
Thanks for the popsicle link. I am always trying new ways to incorporate fruit into my diet and i love popsicles (eventhough i am 27).

Thanks for the link..i always love when you have links from the Forecast Earth site.

  8. @Kristen, there’s no shame in liking Popsicles.

  9. Holy CRAP, I guess that even though my height (or lack thereof)is ‘hereditary’ – at 4 ft 8.25 [yes, gotta count every part!] … I would be considered a little person.

  10. Linden Lab employees in avatar form from virtual world Second Life had fun with this. We’re one of the few non-flesh-and-blood humans to pay our respects… http://vimeo.com/5525442
