plums. i hate plums. they taste okay, but they have that weird watery inside, and the outside has that weird snap to it.

oh, and tomato- i hate tomato. for the exact same reason plus the taste. ew.

Speaking of Hawaii…there’s a lot of tropical fruits that are grown there like lychees and mangoes, which I love. But I can’t stand papaya. Something about the flavor and the texture makes me thinks I’m eating yellow mashed potatoes or something.

There’s a number of drugs that interact badly with grapefruit. Almost half the prescriptions my mother was on had labels warning not to have grapefruit when using the medication. Including Xanax, by the way…something those who take it “recreationally” might not know and should be aware of.

I am a biology teacher and I use the following to help students remember the difference between simple and complex cells:
Prokaryotes are simple cells similar to a bag of Plain jello
Eukaryotes are complex cells similar to a bag of Fruit Cocktail jello (as Euw! Ick! Gross!)

Just thinking about the texture of a ripe banana makes me gag. They’re SO gnarly. Oh… and Fruited Meat is TERRIBLE. My grandparents are from Ireland and fix Fruited Mutton every year on New Years Eve. I have them convinced that I’m a Vegetarian so Grandma fixes me something else. Thank GOD…
