I recently came across the delightful "Muphry's Law", that says anyone who corrects the grammar or spelling of others will inevitably make a grammatical or spelling error of their own.

Actually, almost every major move in football (soccer) is named for its originator/exponent. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coerver_Method. For some spectacular videos of kids as young as 6 doing Kruyf, Maradona, Péle and other moves, see http://www.coerver.com/index.php/

At work, I will often use Hanlon's Razor: "Never attribute to malice that which can adequately be attributed to stupidity." It helps maintain good relations with co-workers.

Adding onto SlackJacks post about Bob's law (woman's hair/age) - how about the Drapes corrolary (sometimes called the Curtains Corrolary). That is, the carpet should always match the drapes (or curtains).

Also, the Man Shoe Principle. That is, the length of a mans shoe is directly proportional to the length of a mans.......foot.

Of course, these are jokes.
