I had one of those Teac 4-tracks. Did slide show soundtracks on them. Yes, a suitcase is somehow too light a term for what they were.

Those Tascam Portastudios were the s*** back then. I think my brother still has his from back in the day; I forget what exact model it was, but it looks just like the one pictured. Who knows how many songs we recorded on that thing?! Over the years, its usage morphed from a recorder to a makeshift soundboard. He bought a 24-track digital recorder a few years ago, but never really used it, and now he uses Firepod.

Kids don’t know how easy they have it these days. Analog rules!
