I have been to parties thrown by my husband's friends, where the main attraction was anime and XBox, all played at a decibel level best described as "heavy metal concert." I HATE anime and XBox, and the sound level gave me a headache. Even after expressing my concerns for my and my three children's hearing, we were still subjected to it. I've stopped accepting invitations from those people. I'd rather stay home and clean out the kitty litter. I have to say, while the language is a bit formal, I think that concept still applies.
