One of my best friends in kindergarten was the son of a husband-and-wife team that ran a pasta factory. I remember always being confused at the sheer volume of their product. They tried to show me the differences, but I was too young and/or stubborn to pay attention. Now, many years later, I still find myself lost in the pasta aisle at the grocery store, trying to figure out the differences between all the boxes. Can you identify the eight types of pasta just by the picture?
Take the quiz: Use Your Noodle
Wowzer! I got all of them correct. Yeah me!!

Kramer: *Fusilli* Jerry! It’s made from Fusilli pasta. See the microphone?
Jerry: When did you do this?
Kramer: In my spare time. [turns to George]. You know, I’m working on one
of you, George. I’m using ravioli. See, the hard part is to find a pasta
that captures the individual.
Jerry: Oh… Why Fusilli?
Kramer: Because *you’re* silly. Get it?

Not me! I got the ones I eat. Farfalle, linguine, and one other one… probably by chance!

Man I fell stupid for calling it spaghetti which I guess is not it’s name, also where’s ravioli and corkscrew and bowtie pasta, and macaroni, and shells. I must be shopping at the wrong store.

I only knew how fusilli looked like because of the “Fusilli Jerry”.

That is not linguini in the picture saying linguini… linguini is like a fat spaghetti. The picture is of fettuccine…..

How in the world did I get 7/8??? I used all of the answers only once… >:/
I only did this well because I watch way too much Food Network and Iron Chef…

In the grocery store the corkscrew one is called Rigatoni…or maybe it’s a different kind of screwey one. Hmmm. My Italian ancestors are turning over in their graves.

@Katie Rose, don’t you mean rotini as it is very similar to fusilli? Rigatoni is a larger version of penne. By the way Jina, there is no such thing as “too much Iron Chef”.
