i’m so glad somebody mentioned prince covering the foo fighters :)

i love cover songs and i know there’s a ton more i adore, just can’t think of them at the moment…..

It’s my personal belief that Patti Smith’s version of “Gloria” is infinitely better than the Van Morrison original. Which isn’t to put down the original, either. I actually like it, too. Patti Smith’s version just strikes me as better, though. (Then again, it could have something to do with the fact that she was a woman singing the song, and I could really identify with that.)
