We’ve linked to this site before, but they deserve another plug. There, I Fixed It: jury rigging at its best. If it weren’t pouring right now, I might try the soda bottle/hose trick.

(’There, I Fixed It’ is also on Twitter.)

We’ll be celebrating more of our favorite sites all summer. If you’d like to nominate a site you like, leave us a comment.

  2. I love this site!! It makes me feel better about some stuff I’ve rigged up.

  3. Self-depricating reverse-anti-racism. Did that make sense, or would you just like to see what i mean? Christian Landers has a site and a book titled, Stuff White People Like. I find it amusing because it portrays the modern caucasian stereotype in a light and entertaining way (basically how Dave Chappelle did it his way on his show). I don’t consider it offensive, nor should it be taken that way, but i wouldn’t be surprised if some were to take it that way. So to you i say, brace yourself, or just skip over this comment for safety’s sake.

  4. http://www.dailywritingtips.com/ is a good website. As someone with a degree in English, I know much of the information presented (the site is geared more toward people for whom English is a second language), but some great topics pop up too. Plus, the authors are more than welcome to answer nagging grammar questions that most people don’t think about it.

    Awkward + family = fun!

Just when your parents couldn’t get any more in your business…

    http://www.nutritiondata.com/
You can look up the nutritional value of ANYTHING – even processed foods or random raw things.. anything. It’s pretty fantastic.

  6. http://www.thesneeze.com/

The Sneeze… if you want a place to get aquainted, look for “Steve, Don’t eat it!” in the orange toolbar on the right. I cried I was laughing so hard!

  7. I love this site! It is the confessions of an Urban Archeologist! What ever the heck that is?

    http://videomartyr.blogspot.com/

  8. Probably Bad News. http://probablybadnews.com/

  9. @Amy – I LOVE the Sneeze and have been a fan for a while but sadly Steve is not blogging nearly as much as he used to (like once a month) so my interest is waning….

I am an avid fan of http://www.cakewrecks.blogspot.com and http://www.dontevenreply.com – aside from Mental Floss these are the only others I have on RSS feed.

  10. 11points.com – it’s just good entertainment

stfumarrieds.tumblr.com – glory for the unmarried

    textsfromlastnight.com – pretty self explanatory

nikolasschiller.com – a great blog detailing the goings on in DC and tons of wonderful geospatial art.
