You remember Neil Armstrong and his Apollo 11 counterpart Buzz Aldrin, but what about America’s other moon-walkers? Between 1969 and 1972, Twelve men walked on the moon, but many of their names have floated off into anonymity. Can you pick them out from another group composed largely of semi-obscure white men—lower-ranked professional golfers?

  1. 10/10
Not to surprising given that 2 of the moon astronauts were from my home state of New Mexico, and that I grew up with the space program eventually getting a EE degree so that I could have some part in it.

  2. 67% (8/12) – I’m embarrased, because I consider myself a bit of a NASA fan.

  3. Tomas, apparently your EE degree didn’t require any math. How could you be 10 for 10 in a quiz with 12 question? I think this backs up my theory that 5/4ths of the population doesn’t understand fractions. ;)

For the record I was 11 for 12, only because I’m an avid golfer, not an avid NASA historian.

  4. 10/10 = 1 =12/12 Mathematically sound. ;-)

  5. Hey TXCherokee,

Good catch! How about a job in quality control? Actually, I was counting questions like golf scores, sometimes you can get away with a stroke or two.

  6. 20/15, darn I’m good :p

OK, 9/12–considering Apollo ended before I was even 5 years old, and I’ve never paid any attention to golf, not bad…
