  1. All but 10. I’ve taken this one before but I forget different ones each time. Got W H Harrison but couldn’t remember the other Harrison’s first name.
    Can’t believe I forgot Reagan.
Know I’ll get them all one of these times.

  2. BAAA! All but 4. I think MFloss did this quiz a while back and I think I got the same 4 wrong:

Millard Fillmore, Rutherford B. Hayes, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley

  3. I got all but Fillmore!

  4. I got everybody! And it’s all thanks to the Animaniacs’ Presidents song.

  5. What kind of an idiot (me) forgets Madison?! We’ve got a university named after him in Virginia, for cryin’ out loud.

  6. Got ‘em all for the second time! THe first time I did this quiz I forgot WIlson and it killed me.

I can always get Washington – Hayes in order, no problem, then I can get Coolidge – Obama no problem. It’s just those guys in between that I can’t put in order, so it screws me up.

  7. All but the following 14: James Monroe, Martin Van Buren, William Henry Harrison, Zachary Taylor, Millard Fillmore, Franklin Pierce, James Buchanan, Rutherford B. Hayes, Chester Arthur, Grover Cleveland, Benjamin Harrison, William McKinley, Warren Harding, Calvin Coolidge.

@Paige: Great answer! Now if only mental_floss would do a state capitals quiz… =)

  8. Steve, I got’cher State Capital quiz right here….

  9. I got all but 8 and most of those were from the mid to late 1800s, where they weren’t known for anything. Filmore, Pierce, Arthur, Buchanan, William Harrison,(I could remember ‘Tippicanoe and Tyler, too’ but couldn’t remember who Tippicanoe was) and Taylor. I am chagrined to admit that I missed LBJ. I had all the others from the 20th century. And I also missed Van Buren, easily the most unknown of the founding presidents. (I group them together to remember them more easily, assassinated presidents, founding presidents, civil war presidents, modern presidents, early 20th century presidents, late 19th Century presidents)

  10. I remembered grover cleveland and ben harrison because of one of my favorite Disney movies, the one origianl, all-american family band. They had some cute political songs there. (Let’s put it over with Grover, Don’t rock the boat, give him your vote) and some song about benjamin harrison, but i can’t remember it, because it wasn’t as good. the cast was excellent, with walter brennan, buddy epsen, a young kurt russell, lesley ann warren and john davidson. if you enjoy musicals and politics with a historical bent, check it out.

  11. to Eric P:
thought I was the only one who remembered that film! I think it’s some song about Benjamin Harrison saying The Future Looks Bright! and then a couple sneaky Cleveland supporters paint a bright red mustache on Harrison’s picture, and then the scene turns into befitting bedlam. Just saw Ken Burn’s fine program on American National Parks, and Pres. Harrison did support them.
Off topic, but had to say something.
