  1. Thanks for another interesting collection of links. But…it’s no wonder Victorian life isn’t anything like an Austen novel, being that Jane Austen died before Victoria was even born.

  2. Life certainly went downhill when Jane Austen died! But at least this time I spelled her name right. You can probably tell I never read any of her books, although I played a part in one of the plays.

  3. I was gonna say, Austen wrote during the Regency period, way before Queen Victoria.
