Today’s Brain Game focuses on the preferences of a guy named Ken. Compare the four clues to see what the names have in common, and use that information to figure out the answer. Good luck!
Ken likes Dale Earnhardt, Jr., but not Jeff Gordon.
He likes Sean Connery, but not Will Smith.
He likes Rudyard Kipling, but not George Orwell.
He likes Calvin Coolidge, but not Herbert Hoover.Given this information,
would Ken like Garth Brooks or Johnny Cash?
My answer was Johnny Cash since Ken prefered the older person.

I started through the list thinking that Ken really had a thing for the letter A, until I noticed my two options.
As for the real answer, George Orwell has the potential to really throw some people off.

Great answer, Joshua. Just to make sure no one else falls into that one, I’ve added a “Jr.” to Dale Earnhardt… he’s a couple years younger than Jeff Gordon.

I got Garth Brooks for the same Letter A reason. He likes the letter A in the first name.

Option B:
He wouldn’t like either of them since they have short last names (6 letters or less).

Both last names might be six letters or less, but in every case he does like the longer of the two names.

Each of the preferred last names starts with another word – (Earn)hardt, (Con)nery, (Kip)ling, (Cool)idge. So of course he’d like (Brook)s.

Got the letter A in the first name thing too … but it seemed to simple.

Wasn’t Calvin Coolidge’s first name John, not James?

It was, Dawn… nice catch! I originally had a few different names in the game (including Paul McCartney) and was thinking “James” for him.

Until the end… all preferences had 4 syllables.

C, not S
K, not O
C, not H
B, not C!
