I have driven past this place about a thousand times and I never knew the history of it. I always wondered about the chimney stack.

Another failed socialist experiment. Ah, but this time it was because the greedy Capitalist in the next town over weren't greedy enough to sell them water.

I'm sure, that if we try it ONE MORE TIME, given JUST THE RIGHT initial conditions, Socialism will work great. Why won't people just give government coercion a chance!?

"3-thousandth time is a charm!"

I've really enjoyed looking at the photos from your outings and I've been curious about the kind of camera you use.

I love Strange Geographies!
Have there been any thought to doing an abandoned military base? There are several in California if one knows where to look. Fort Ord, which is now CSUMB, is almost completely open and retains many of it's original structures (but it's unknown for how long) and makes and amazing backdrop.

Thriving and flourishing as in it went from a dry patch of ground to a town of 1,000 people with its own self-sustaining economy and food production system and school in less than a year.
