Thanks for giving today’s Brain Game a shot. Enjoy a new one every weekday on mentalfloss.com at 7:30 a.m. Eastern time.

Following are 8 four-letter words and names. If you re-stack them in the correct order, you’ll be able to find 4 eight-letter words by reading down each line of the stack. Good luck!

E D E N
I T C H
N I L E
P L E D
R E S T
S A R A
S T I R
T U N E

Here is the SOLUTION.

  1. Anagrams X 4

If you get one word, you can get them all. The easest word to unscramble was Altiitude.

  2. Not as easy if you get the wrong word first. I had a few false starts, like SILENCER instead of RECLINES. Luckily the solution checks itself.

  3. Finally, a non-logic puzzle!

Although it took a little logic to realize it isn’t as hard as it seems.

  4. Thanks for spoiling the answer with your comments, guys. We get it, you’re smart.

  5. It really helps to read the indtructions well, I suck…

  6. Worth the mental calisthenics… =) “SPINSTER” unlocked everything.
