  1. I’m not going to say I’d jump to work for Walmart, but I will say it’s probably more secure to work at Walmart than at GM right now. It’s interesting that the author used GM as his “good” example and Walmart as “evil”. Pretty one-sided, I think. The country needs crappy jobs; there’s a lot of crappy workers out there. No one is coerced to work at Walmart, or McDonald’s, or to pick cranberries in Farmer Bill’s bog. Thank goodness they can in a pinch, though.
