Amanda is completely right. So is everyone else. This country has become so polarized, no matter what ANYONE does, whether it’s Walmart, me, you, your dog does, they get lashed at by both sides. It’s horrible. I think all of these things are fine to have been banned (Okay to the Al SNow thing was stupid) but that’s not because of walmart, it was because of complaints of the people. They listened to YOU, and yet, they still get crapped on. What the heck?

Just a little note. Sometimes good, intelligent people work at Wal-mart too. Whether it be to get them through college, support a family or they just are not lucky enough to find a better job does not make them scum. It is really interesting that people would jump on someone (rightly so) for judging other by the color of their skin and yet those same people are going to group employees of a certain company as stupid and lazy.

Why does everyone hate Wal-mart so much? Its not my favorite store or anything, and I do prefer Target, but that’s no reason to go slamming a very good business. People on here act so mean sometimes. Why do we have to debate every little thing? Aren’t we grown-ups?

On #5…the major reason Walmart failed big time in Germany was that the “American ethics” never really caught with the German consumers, plus a number of items being sold here were of an abysmally bad quality (two examples were milk and certain kinds of sausage). Therefore, Walmart called it quits in Germany 2006.

My local Wal-Mart must be bustin’ the rules where “lad mags” are concerned….I’ve seen copies of FHM and Maxim in the magazine aisle as recently as last week.

I once had a co-worker who claimed she and her bf were “banned for life” for *RETURNING* a defective television! She was accused of trying to “steal” the TV, so she asked the responding officers to go over the security footage and they agreed with her that they did nothing wrong.

This supposedly happened in a town that takes their “white sales” quite literally. (she’s white, and I think her bf was too?)

I shopped for my last time at Walmart in September 2000 when they quit stocking Maurice Bessinger’s BBQ sauce and led the way for other grocery stores to quit stocking it, also. They tried to destroy a successful person who makes a wonderful mustard sauce (and other delicious foods) because they disagreed with some of his ideas. If Walmart customers knew about the child labor that makes many of the products sold at Walmart they may want to reconsider not shopping there, too. I had rather not have something than to buy it at Walmart while I continue to enjoy the delicious food and BBQ sauce at Maurice Bessinger’s wonderful restaurants.
