Missing a crucial bit of glamor in your everyday life? Then why not get yourself a copy of Glamourpuss: The Enchanting World Of Kitty Wigs? The creator, Julie Jackson, and her photographer, Jill Johnson, have moved their fine line of kitten wigs into the wonderful world of print. For an exclusive sneak peek, take a look at the article on Urlesque.

Julie actually creates all the custom cat wigs herself, and each wig comes in a metal tin with a metal mouse rattle to help distract your feline friend as you take embarrassing photos of him or her. Of course, if your kitten won’t wear a wig, or if you don’t have a cat at all, you can still take part in the guilty pleasure of kitty wigs with the new book.

  1. ummm… why???

  2. I submitted the kittywigs website to the morning cup o links forever ago. I’m glad someone used it…or just found it herself. Did you check out the wierd youtube video the woman has? It’s just creepy.

  3. Kels, I don’t get the suggested links emails, I found this one myself.
I didn’t see the videos though…I’ll have to look those up.

  4. No cat I’ve ever owned would put up with the indignity of having a foreign object forced onto it’s head. Why do we do that kind of thing to our poor pets? Living with people is hard enough…

  5. Hmm, I’ve seen at least that photo and thought it was just someone sticking a large ball-joint-doll or Pullips doll wig on the cat. Seems odd to me that the cats would want that, in the doll hobby, most of us complain of the cats stealing the wigs to chew on.

  6. If I were to try that with my cat, I’d probably be giving the local emergency room some stitching practice. ;)

  7. What is wrong with people? Does anyone see this as very disturbing? and if you read the comment from the guy with the blue wig, sounds to deep for me…
