A 42-year old ecologist lost his wedding ring in the swampy water of the Wellington Harbor in New Zealand just a few month after he got married. He was determined to find it, despite the fact that everyone, including his wife, thought he was crazy.
Amazingly, a year and a half later he discovered it at the bottom of the sea using GPS coordinates and an amazing dose of faith. BoingBoing has the entire story behind his search, which ends up being a beautiful tale of love and dedication.

My father lost his retainer in a lake in Florida when he was a child…the next year he stepped on something in the water and picked it up. Sure enough it was his retainer…you can guess what he did next, and yet, it fit.

My husband lost his wedding ring in our apartment about a year after we got married. When we moved, we still couldn’t find it!
Also, I lost my engagement ring shortly after he lost his wedding ring. We just don’t have good luck with rings. And we’ve been married for 5 years now.

It takes a strong man to know himself well enough to admit he can ask God for help.

Rob Winslow..Seriously?
He had an anchor mark the spot as well as the GPS coordinates. Plus, he searched several times over 15 months.
As for the retainer? That’s hilarious!
Not so cool of a story here:
I lost a scrunchie (they were in style then..honest!) in the ocean on vacation. Right before we left I checked out the beach one more time. A group of girls started screaming because they saw a weird jellyfish in the water. I went to check it out, and it was my scrunchie floating around!

I lost a wife once. If anyone finds her, please keep her.
