Ever read a small-town newspaper and just scratch your head in disbelief at the funny headlines? We do all the time, and we can’t help but notice how similar many are to headlines in The Onion. Think you can spot real news from fake? Give the quiz a whirl and find out.

>>special shout out to @yaelbt for being my muse on this one.

  1. Question 8: REALLY?!

  2. Woot! 100%!!

Sometimes I’ll see an item in The Onion’s RSS feed and think “haha, that’s funny.” Then I’ll open it and realize that it’s a poll or something based on a real headline. For example, the guy that wanted there to be Christian Salt to counterbalance Kosher Salt.

  3. Let’s not forget when a headline is both.

The Onion once ran a satire on Gillette, saying they were releasing a 5-blade razor.

The following year, Gillette did just that.

  4. #8 got me too. Unreal.
