Unbelievably Lucky Crash
by Mangesh Hattikudur - January 16, 2007 - 9:10 AM

I saw these photos on TheCellar, and was blown away by how lucky the truck’s driver was. Check out how the vehicle spun off the road in the first pic, and then how close it was to falling into the precipice in the second. Insane! Photos via the ever-fascinating TheCellar.

  1. *whistles* I hope someone got him a new pair of pants.

  2. yeah, thankfully no one’s taken snaps of that accident!

  3. Man, that is one lucky driver!

  4. What’s scarier is knowing that if that took place in NYC, people would be lining up for that parking space.

  5. OK, I’m just curious. The guardrail is unbroken, so where did he spin out and over? It almost looks to me as though when the guardrail started he (and why assume it was a he) went right instead of left and drove to this spot, finally realizing he was offroading in an area that was ending.

  6. Anybody still dobt the existence of God after seeing this?
It looks like the railing was broken on the other side of that pipe and the truck bounced over it and landed backwards

  7. Leslie, look more carefully at the right side of the first photo. See the crumpled rail?

Lee, “God” had nothing to do with this. It’s raw dumb luck, pure and simple. Had the driver gone over the precipice, would you be crowing that “God” should have stopped the truck??
