Love the list of words, although I am not sure how officious and enormity count as cool and obscure.

My father also worked for JCP for many, many years. The arrival of the winter catalog always set my younger sister and I off on a flurry of Christmas list writing complete with page numbers and item listings!

Do we think that “i.e.” was intentionally used incorrectly in the above statement?

“11 writing mistakes, etc to avoid, i.e. the usage of e.g. et. al. Most of them are all too common, unfortunately.”
