Blow Huge Bubbles With Baby Shampoo
by Chris Higgins - October 19, 2009 - 12:57 PM

I’m not sure whether this counts as a science video or just a “stupid human trick,” but either way: did you know that baby shampoo lets you blow huge bubbles from your mouth? Brandon Hardesty thinks it’s AMAZING. And it kind of is. Amaze your babies, your friends, your pets…but maybe not your parents.

This is just a short video of Mr. Hardesty showing his masterful technique for blowing huge bubbles using baby shampoo. Slightly gross (since he gets baby shampoo all over his face and neck) but work-safe.

  1. Ah – Ew

  2. I’m going to try it. Recreating Youtube videos usually works out for the best.

  3. I see my children’s future. Embarrassed by their dad at parties, when they’re teens especially.

  4. Yum. How’d that taste there, bud?

  5. Baby shampoo is really cool stuff – it has glycerin in it to make it more moisturizing, and a milder surfactant than adult shampoos. It’s also pale in color, which makes it awesomely easy to tint with a pinpoint of food coloring. I use an egg tray to make different colors, and then some fluffy kid’s paintbrushes to body paint the children in the tub. It’s a blast, and muuuuuuch safer than commercial tinted bath crayons, soaps and gels – trust me, I’ve gotten them in my eyes and they BURN. Try it! It’s tons of fun, and the kids love it. Hey, it might spice up your love life if you don’t have kids, too…
