it actually gets better…one of the songs from the musical is entitled “omigod you guys.” i kid you not.
but still, i wouldn’t knock it ’til you’ve seen it…i am a complete broadway snob (i got into a disagreement with john kander of kander and ebb) about the aesthetic necessity of the john doyle staging of sondheim’s company last fall…) and rebelled when the wedding singer musical opened–until i saw it. and then went back to see it again 3 more times.
