A few years back, an ad agency (Chiat Day) had a similar concept to promote a museum.

in response to heather: isn’t that sort of the point? i mean, postmodern art (forgive me for using that term) is all about the meta statement being made and not really about the art itself. post modern (or is it post-post modern? i don’t know) art can’t even be parodied because it is a parody in and of itself.

sadly, i can see myself being one of the people who goes to see an exhibit like that….
